How can I set in KNIME 5.4.1 to have classic connections and not curved connections as in the default settings? Can this be set up in Knime 5.4.1. at all?
Because the settings in Preferences → Knime classic user interface → Workflow Editor → Curved connections (check/ uncheck box) doenst work.

This may not directly answer your question, but you can manually curve the lines. If you hover over the connections, there is a point that we can grab and bend the lines as needed.
As shown above, you can bend in a variety of ways. Again, this is not set as a default option, but do have control over the layout and connections.

Thanks for the reply, but this is not the solution I’m looking for. The problem is that I have many dozens of links in the book and I need to edit it for clarity, which curved lines do not allow.
This was better in the older Knime, but I don’t want to switch to the old GUI… I’m de facto afraid I’m just confirming my point, and that is that it’s just not possible in Knime 5.4.

indeed, currently connections will always be rendered in this curved bezier style and there is no(t yet) an option to switch to straight lines.
