Hello,
I have a few questions regarding the connection from KNIME Analytical Platform to the Azure Cloud (Without usage of KNIME Server and KNIME Business Hub).
- Can all the KNIME Azure Cloud extensions be used from the KNIME Analytical Platform directly to connect with Azure cloud without having to pass through KNIME Server / KNIME Business Hub? Since # nodes are available in the KNIME Analytical Platform I assume it’s possible to connect directly to the Cloud?
- In case the answer to the previous question is positive. a) In terms of security, what is the advised infrastructure to connect KNIME Analytical Platform to the Azure Cloud, put . VPN connection in between ?[b) In case of KNIME Business Hub License I assume it should also establish first a secured connection between client and hub through e.g. VPN]
Thank you for your answer.
Hello,
Can anyone give me some feedback on the above questions? The idea is with time to go later to Business Hub, however I want to know if it’s possible to connect straight away securely from the Analytical Platform (see the above questions).
Thanks for your help.

Hi there,
I never worked with microsoft azure directly but with databricks as layer on top.
But I guess it’s similar:
You can connect to azure with the Azure Cloud Connectors
In this example you can see how to connect and work on azure.
There is no tunneling over KNIME hub or server needed.
