KNIME and missing, empty, null, NaN cell content type

I think it’s about time I asked this, considering other software packages handling those different types:

  • How does KNIME handle all those types?
  • How do those missing, empty, null, NaN cell content types (and more if present) differ from each other from a storage, I/O and performance aspect?
  • What are the advantages and disadvantages of keeping a column in such a type? (may be a matrix with tick-answers here)

Hi @deicide_bg -

Good questions all. I have asked internally for a bit more detail about this - let’s see what we can find out.
