KNIME AP 5.4.3 Authentication Error on Installilng Extensions

I am testing KNIME AP 5.4.3 on Windows 11. We have the extensions installed on an internal web server for access. When I go to Menu → Install Extensions I get an authentication error. There is no prompt for the ID and Password. I did not get an image of the error. I was able to access those extensions from other machines. I eventually did a “Switch to classic user interface” In the classic interface, I get a prompt to update the ID and Password. Apparently my password had been changed since last using this same machine. Once I updated the Password using the classic interface I was able to access the extensions. When I switch back to the Modern UI the extensions work there too.

Why is the Modern UI failing to prompt for the ID and Password on an authentication error? This cannot be working as designed and I believe you have a bug to resolve.

Thank you

@StevenLauretti I don’t think knime does prompt for a password to install or access extensions. Is it possible that it has to do with a proxy server or the internal server you mentioned?

It is an internal Windows server. KNIME is prompting in all versions and KNIME 5.4.3 is prompting from the classic side. The password can be stored, and it was stored but my Windows password had changed. KNIME always has prompted before when the password changed. It may be the underlying Eclipse that is doing it, but it is specific to KNIME. This is what the prompt looks like in 4.7.2:
Once you enter and save the password, it is good until another password change.
