KNIME backward compatibility in H2O Models

Hello,

I was running a model in H2O created in a version of KNIME prior to 5. When I tried to execute it in KNIME 5.2.5, I received the following error:

“Can’t apply model built with H2O version 3.36.1.2 as the used H2O cluster runs version 3.36.1.5. For model training and prediction the same H2O version is required.”

I understand that KNIME ensures backward compatibility of versions, and I am not sure if this is part of that compatibility. I would like to know if there is any solution other than retraining the model in KNIME version 5.2.5.

Thank you.

Hello @lsandinop,

I am sorry for the late answer, but yes: there is another solution.

You can configure the H2O version used by KNIME in the preferences.

By default, KNIME uses the latest H2O version available. You change the H2O version to 3.36.1.2 to use your models trained with that version.

Best,
Simon
