KNIME Batch Mode on Linux and Microsoft

Dear Ladies and Gentleman

I am trying to use the KNIME Batch mode both on Linux and Microsoft. It works on neither.

On Windows, I’ve used this:
knime.exe -consoleLog -noexit -nosplash -application org.knime.product.KNIME_BATCH_APPLICATION -workflowDir="".
It produces an error message that is too long to show completely on a screen. One can not pipe it to a text file or copy/paste it. The visible part looks like this:

On Linux Ubuntu I have tried “./knime -nosplash -application org.knime.product.KNIME_BATCH_APPLICATION".
It says: ““An Error has occurred. See the log file ”.”

In the logfile it looks like this:

“!SESSION 2023-06-01 19:16:45.754 -----------------------------------------------
eclipse.buildId=unknown
java.version=17.0.5

Framework arguments: -application org.knime.product.KNIME_BATCH_APPLICATION

They write that “org.knime.product.KNIME_BATCH_APPLICATION” could not be found in the registry, but then one of the items in the list of available application there is “org.knime.product.KNIME_BATCH_APPLICATION”. I have already tried upgrading and reinstalling KNIME.

Does anybody know a solution to these problems?

Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,
Florian
