KNIME Business Hub | Viable via WSL?

Hallo everyone,

Based on the operating system requirements and post from a KNIME team member, I understand that it is not possible to run on KNIME Business Hub on a Windows Machine.

As some clients may only have Windows Server machines, I was wondering whether it is possible to run Business Hub on a Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL). Whether one can count on support from KNIME when troubleshooting such a setup or whether there is simply no other way then to have a machine that complies with the operating system requirement.

Hi apaul,

Regarding your query, BH on WSL isn’t something we’re going to support in the near future. While Linux VMs on Windows are possible, they introduce complexity due to virtualization layers, which we’d prefer to avoid.
