When is this going to be fixed? The new UI dialogs have so much wasted space and the text is too large wasting space.

Hey @Christopher41,

Thanks for the feedback. I have created a ticket to look into the problem (internal reference UIEXT-2841). It will likely not be as easy as increasing the size, as this will put the buttons bottom right too far away from the actual elements.

Hi @Kapusta , which version of KNIME are you using? Whilst I would still agree that an auto-resizing column filter list would be better, In KNIME 5.4, the Column Filter node was given new “handles” ( a horizontal line just below the column list) so you can manually drag this to increase the size of the lists. [image] Hopefully this functionality will also be added in future to other similar nodes, or there will be an ability to automatically resize into the empty space.

Is it the “reordering” buttons that you are referring to that potentially cause difficulty?

Just some thoughts and I don’t know the technicalities… Could they they not also move downwards with the resizing bar?

Or if that’s not an option, could they perhaps be put above the column list instead of below it?

Hey @takbb,

yes absolutely if we introduce the resizing bar this would work just fine.
I was referring to the possibility of making the box as heigh as the dialog window by default.
I agree that the resize handle is something that this component would also benefit from.
