KNIME executable launcher was unable to locate its companion shared library

Hello All,

I was using Knime 4.1.1 earlier (desktop/Windows 10) which was working fine,Now Our admin team had installed Knime 4.2.2 but i am unable to open Knime platform on desktop(Windows 10) It is showing the following error:
KNIME executable launcher was unable to locate its companion shared library

As suggested in some other post I have created a short cut for knime.exe and moved to other folder but still i am not able to open it. Kindly help me on this.

Any information on this?

The knime.exe file must stay in the folder with its companion. Did you maybe move it when creating the shortcut?

That is strange.

In this case, I would recommend you to do a fresh install. You can just download the zip file from here: knime.com/downloads
And unzip it to any folder. You do not need installation rights for doing this.
