KNIME "unable to access" pathway on MacBook Pro for new workflow

I am new to KNIME and understand how to import Excel files into a new workflow. However, the difficulty comes into play when I am using the Excelreadr node and going to configure it. I get a yellow light, but when placing the file pathway into the configure or Browse to upload the data set, nothing shows on my desktop within the KNIME browser. I cannot get beyond this point in the workflow. I am also working on a MacBook Pro, macOS Monterey 12.7.6. Am I doing something wrong, or is there an extension I need? Where and what do I need to look and do to make this correction as I am working on a deadline? This is for a course, and the assignment is due on Friday, so I am anxious to hear back from you on Wednesday, October 9th, 2024.

@JuliaPappas welcome to the KNIME forum. You will have to paste the path into the configuration or you will have to tell the Excel Reader where the file is.

You can also drag the file from your desktop or the location it is directly into the workflow, drag while holding the shift key.
