Large data files in knime-workspace folder

I’m having an issue with saved workflows taking up enormous amounts of space on my hard drive (100GB). These are located in the “knime-workspace” on projects I’ve recently worked on and closed, they are not from folders labelled autosave or in the TEMP folder.

The large files are “data.zip” files for the ports of nodes in the project. I was under the impression that KNIME did not save these output data to disk.

What am I missing? Is there a setting somewhere I have wrong?
How can I clean this up?

Can you check if these workflows are saved in executed state ?

If so can you reset the entire workflow and then save?

That might fix it.

I think in executed state the data of output ports of executed nodes is saved in those data.zip files.
