Latest File Handling

Are there any plans / timelines for updating the text processing file readers to the latest file handling method used in the core nodes? I’d really like to be able to carry out text analysis on documents / presentations / pdf files stored on SharePoint but at the moment the nodes don’t seem to allow the file system connections to allow this.

We have a ticket open for this feature request (AP-15946) and I’ve added a +1 from you on it, but I don’t have a specific timeline for you, unfortunately.

In the meantime - you’ve probably already thought of this, but in case you haven’t - as a workaround you could transfer the files locally as described here:

Hi @SABAREESHS37, currently, the Tika Parser does not support adding filesystem connections. Hence, it is limited to loading local files. We do plan on updating the node in an upcoming version, though I can’t say when this will occur. For now, I recommend @AnotherFraudUser’s approach. In the Transfer Files you can specify to store the file relative to the current server or workflow, so that you don’t need to change the configuration between your local pc and the server.
