Light GBM and CatBoost in Knime

hi,

Do we have light GBM or CatBoost available in knime ? I tried searching for these two inclusive of extensions but doesn’t appear. Can some please let me know if they are available?

Hi @rahsan and welcome to the forum.

While we currently don’t support either of these algorithms with dedicated nodes, we have a ticket in our system to implement them. I’ve added a +1 to that ticket (AP-13698) based on your feedback.

Have you thought about trying to implement via Python or R Snippet nodes?

hi Scott,

Thanks for your feedback and much appreciate for taking this onboard. I am kind of new to knime so haven’t tried with Python or R snippet but will give it a try.

As these 2 algorithms are increasing popular like XGBoost it will be worth to have a dedicated node.

Thanks again.

Hi @rahsan -

I went to quickly check, and there’s nothing new to report on the ticket listed above. If the developers implement something new for these algorithms, we will be sure to post it here.
