I will start off by saying I love how the Annotation boxes render, I like the choices for fonts, colors, etc., BUT they are unusable!!
Shift-clicking when selecting anything in the Annotation box is counter intuitive. How about shift-clicking to interact with the annotation box. This is a small change but would alleviate so much annoyance.
Why change the behavior on something you do 99% of the time (interact with nodes) so you can accommodate something you use 1% of the time (Annotations)? Please flip the functionality of shift-clicking so you do it to interact with the annotation box or simply put a lock icon on the upper bar area.
