Hi,
i have trouble with opening the configuration window of nodes. The configuration-icon on top of the nodes is not shown and it is not possible to open the node configuration window with double click on nodes.
I already tried to fix it by installing KNIME again, but that didn’t fix my problems at all. Do you have any ideas how I can fix it?

With AP 5.5 the “embedded mode” for modern node dialogs has been made the default, opening them in a side panel on the right instead of a pop-out window. We acknowledge that the new behavior can be confusing (especially at first), and we’re currently working on improvements. thank you for answering my question! You’re right, it can be a little bit confusing and I would like to give you a short feedback to the new “embedded mode”.
If you’re working only on one screen, e.g. a laptop when no additional screens are available (e.g. business trips, worcation, etc.) it’s very difficult to work in the workspace area because you need the node library on the left side, the output on the bottom and now the side panel on the right - the window of the workspace is so small that you have to zoom in and you have to navigate from node to node with the navigation bars/arrows. If you don’t zoom in, the font sizes are nearly unreadable. To my mind, this feature has major optimization potential, the actual version is quite unsatisfactory.
