I got just baffled to noticed that the step wise loop execution seems missing in MUI. If true, it would mean a serious regression as debugging of loops would be drastically impacted.

It has that button on hover over the node:
The circular buttons are hidden if you right click, so you might have missed it.

Sneaky one. I, and maybe many other Knimers too (you got the numbers CUI vs MUI I suppose), are quite familiar and did what I did, searched in the expected location.
Whilst this is intuitive I noticed the MUIs cleanness might actually hurt because of the stark interface differences. Would it be worth considering to add an option, similar to Adobe Photoshop or InDesign, to switch between “simple” and “extensive” UI modes?
“Simple” meaning clean with less UI buttons, no debug console etc. and a “extensive” one offering the whole experience?
