Modern UI: When double-clicking in empty workspace, open menu to add node

Hi,

the Modern UI does (currently) not allow to to arrange windows like Classic UI. Hence, the workflow repository menu can be hidden most of the time i.e. when focusing on the the workflow monitor. The length which the mouse must traverse can also become quite long depending on the display and mouse used.

I’d like to propose to open a condensed menu version of the node repository when double left-clicking in an empty space in the workspace.

Best
Mike

Hey Mike,

you mean similar to the keyboard shortcut CTRL + ‘.’ to open the Quicknode insertion?

Greetings,
Daniel

Yepp but with the added benefit of not having to move your right/left hand  Additionally, when right clicking, adding an option to place a node including the shortcut of yours “CTRL+. // Double Click” might make using Knime even more intuitive.
