Hi,
I am working on my Knime-Trainer-Certification and force myself to use MUI. Using CTRL+Z, I’ve gone multiple steps back. Then, w/o modifying anything which would discard the change history, I wanted to redo via CTRL+Y.
I noticed that the functionality is buggy but wondered if the key combination is wrong (sometimes CTRL+SHIFT+Z is used). Then I realized, the menu ribbon is missing. The ribbon from CUI I value for many reasons but the lack of it makes me wonder if users ain’t missing out on opportunities to discover and learn.
In MUI there is plenty of scape in the ribbon. Why not display the menu items?
There are also other missing features I noticed like:
- Workflow Editor Seetings
- Workflow Configuration (in Explorer, compared to CUI)
- Auto-Layout
- Select-Shortcuts
Edit: I was baffled to noticed that in CUI the Redo is matched to CTRL+Y and in MUI it is indeed CTRL+SHIFT+Y. Is there any particular reason for that deviation?
Best
Miike
