No longer working under Ubuntu 17.10 (GNOME)

KNIME no longer seems to work properly on Ubuntu 17.10 with GNOME desktop. KNIME will launch, and the UI seems to render correctly. However, it is not possible to add widgets to a flow or interact with existing flows.

Is anyone else trying to run KNIME on Ubuntu/GNOME desktop?
