I am brand new to KNIME. The everything seems intuitive about KNIME. However, the inputs and outputs of nodes are poorly explained. I don't know how to format data for inputs and I almost always get errors, and I rarely know how to put the data in the correct format. In addition, I rarely know what the data output means exactly.
Is there a good resource for detailed descriptions of the data inputs and outputs of nodes?

as always it depends on what you want to do. For every node there is a node-description displayed directly in the analytics platform, which contains information about input- and output-ports of nodes. You can also find it here: https://www.knime.org/files/node-documentation/index.html. If it's still unclear how the node works, you may find an example on our example-server that helps you understanding. The example-server you find in the KNIME Explorer of the Analytics Platform. The examples are also online https://www.knime.org/nodeguide.
