Not able to add or install NodePit

Hi,

I installed Knime 4.1 in my Mac and have followed all the instructions here: https://nodepit.com/nodepit-for-knime#faq4
First I was not able to install or either view it in the list of extensions or be able to mount it.
I even created an account with NodePit to see if that would resolve the issue, but nothing.
What am I missing?
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Roberta,

which steps have you taken so far? Is the extension itself installed? Does NodePit appear e.g. when you go to View -> Other …?

Hi Philipp,

Thank you for answering. I follow the steps in the order specified in the article. I added the site provided under Upgrade/Software, but I do not see NodePit either in the list of extensions or in the list to do the mounting.

Hi Roberta,

let me double check:

1. The update site URL appears in the preference section Install Update → Available Software Sites? Could you show a screenshot to verify this?

2. You went to File → Install KNIME Extensions…, but the entry “NodePit” does not appear there?

3. The steps of “mounting” NodePit Space can only be applied once NodePit is properly installed.

Hey Roberta,

great, thanks for the screenshots! I can see there by looking at the third screenshot, that NodePit is currently obviously not properly installed – otherwise it would show up here:

Could you again go to this step please: File → Install KNIME Extensions…

In the installation window, could you try to untick the following checkboxes:

• Show only the latest versions of available software
• Group items by category
• Hide items that are already installed

Then, just to try a different path, do not enter anything in the “type filter text” field, but instead scroll all the way down to “N” and see whether NodePit for KNIME appears in the list:

Hi @betabr2005,

The update site for NodePit seems to be wrong. It currently points to the KNIME update site (http://update.knime.org/analytics-platform/4.1), but should instead point to

https://download.nodepit.com/nodepit/4.1

Please go to Preferences → Install/Update → Available Software Sites, click on NodePit and Edit… and update the location. Once this is done, NodePit should show up in the installation dialog and can be selected and installed.
