ORDINAL SCALE VARIABLES

Hi everybody:

I have a question about reordering the levels of a factor (categorical variable). I want to create a barplot for an ordinal variable and i would like the order of the bars matchs with the hieranchical order of the categories; but the bars appear in alphabetic order. I can to solve this problem by mean of the R-integration nodes, but i would like to know if is posible to change the order within the KNIME enviroment, by using some node.

Hi Eisenheim,

Unfortunately, this is not possible since categorical variables in KNIME don't have an additional attribute according to which they can be sorted that is also recognized by the View nodes. You can deal this by adding the respective number in the hierarchy to the front of each string.
