perspectives are gone in eclipse

Hi,
I am having this problem every now and then and usually my solution is to reinstall KNIME, but I am sure that there is another option… Since I have no clue where I could be making a mistake and the symptoms are not always exactly the same it is hard for me to debug.
Well here are the symptoms:
In the development version of KNIME/Eclipse I don’t see the perspectives any more. Sometimes I end up in SVN view with no chance to find my way back to the Java perspectives. The corresponding menu entries are also gone. Under General - Preferences - Perspectives I can the perspectives but that is the only place i see them. One time I was stuck in the Debug perspective and under Run there was only an option for running external programs…

I think it has to have something to do with a configuration file that gets corrupted… But I don’t know which one and what would be the state that is working…

Also, if you know why this is happening, letting me know would help, too.

Please help…

Thanks,

Bernd

Is it possible that I downloaded by mistake not the dev-version???
right now that seems to solve one of the problems. I will write again if it happens again…

Hi, so I can now link the behavior described above to the KNIME Desktop Product 2.1.1.0023926. After installing this several tabs are removed from the standard view. is this a bug or a feature?

If it is a feature could you please explain the meaning?

Thanks,

Bernd
