Hi,
in some occasions when auto-placing a node, all already established connections make it almost impossible to select the formerly placed node. Grabbing it by the title is also impossible. Only the 1px edge can be grabbed.
As there is little purpose in prioritizing connections over a node when both share the same space, in particular when it comes to attempting to establish node connections, I want to recommend changing the z-index / layering so the node is always on top.
PS: When trying to bulk select it also selects connections which always required to first move the node from which these originate. Ensuring nodes always are placed atop, eases this situation as well.
