POST multiple binary files as multipart/form-data without using the Multipart Node in KNIME HUB

I’m trying to send a POST request with multiple binary files (an audio file and a XML metadata) as multipart/form-data. Unfortunately, I cannot use the Multipart Encoded HTTP Entity Creator node since it’s a Palladian node. Is there any other workaround/components?

Thanks.

@Certified-Trainers requesting your help on this.

Hi @akhil2698,

this is highly specific and in order to provide any assitance, more details would be required. Can you share the workflow or more details about the endpoint please?

Hi @mwiegand, thanks for your response. I’ve managed to build one using Java snippet, and it works.

Glad you managed to build a solution @akhil2698 ,

Unfortunately I did not see you message on 10 September, or I would have responded directly, and indeed a week later I was responding to a similar thread on Multipart encoding

I don’t know if either of these posts in that thread would have resolved your problem, but may also be of interest:

Thanks for the reply! No worries at all. Your Mulitpart encoder node and the workflow you’ve built was a huge help and a great starting point. I just used a java snippet to make it work.
That’s exactly the same thing I was looking for: Multipart Form-Data Builder!
Big thanks again for sharing it, really appreciate it!!
