PostgreSQL Connector – Driver Error After Upgrading to Version 5.8

Hi Knimers,

After upgrading to version 5.8, I’m getting the following error message for the PostgreSQL Connector:
“Please register a compatible driver via the KNIME preference page. (For details see the log file.)”

I know there’s documentation on how to fix this manually, but shouldn’t the driver come bundled out of the box for Postgres Connector?

Thanks in advance

@Christian_Essen have you tried setting it to using the latest available driver?

Thank you very much for the quick response, @mlauber71
It seems to be a problem when I start KNIME in High-DPI mode.
When I start it normally, the database driver is available — but in High-DPI mode, it isn’t, and I also can’t select one using the “latest available driver” checkbox.

To be honest I have never heard of that. Where can I find it?

You can use knime-hidpi.exe instead of kinme.exe:

Hi @Christian_Essen ,

There is one more thing I’ve observed with hidpi. It doesn’t pick the all/no settings from knime.ini file.

Specially if you have solved the PKIX error.
