Preview of component link is not displaying correctly in the forum

If I paste a link to a Community Hub component on the forum, the preview now appears on the post as the generic community hub:

whereas in the past it would have displayed as a clear indication of the component being linked.

Contrast the above, with how a link to the same component preview appeared here

I think this may be because of a recent change to the community hub where it produces an initial “banner” before redirecting to the component

This will give a negative experience on the forum where it is no longer possible to quickly see which components are being shared.

I just checked, and adding links to demo hub workflows does the same thing. In the past a link to a workflow gave a “preview” containing the workflow’s title and author.

Interesting… nothing has changed on the forum side, so it must be something coming from the Hub itself. Let me see what I can find out.

Thanks @ScottF . My hunch is that it’s to do with the redirect in the hub which now initially overlays that black banner. So the forum preview “capture” is probably always collecting the same initial generic page now instead of the final destination page.
