Is there any way to output logging messages to the KNIME console from within the diverse Python notes? (Like it is possible with the java snippet).

no this is currently not possible.
Could you output a logging column which you than can use in the java snippet for the logging?

Thinking about it, it makes a ton of sense technically that this does not work and is not really possible.
Logging column is an idea /workaround that can work.
It would be great to have all nodes print to the same central location: the console. But at least msgs from a Python Script node appear now on the KNIME log
