Hi everyone, I was reading the blog post " Optimizing KNIME workflows for performance" and I wonder why nothing is mentioned about the " Parallel Execution" nodes?
I believe that executing some bits of the workflow in parallel can help to increase the speed (not the same as optimizing) the workflow.

yes absolutely those would be a nice speed up factor as well. But also it often depends on the usecase. In most cases when the parallel nodes help speed up you can also use the streaming. Those are all the preprocessing usecases which can be executed in parallel on multiple nodes very nicely.
Actually we are currently rewriting this blogpost because some of the advices are now included in the KNIME Analytics Platform differently.
