R integration in Mac

Hello all,

I am trying to run the R nodes in a Mac computer and it is not working. I downloaded R, then the home to R path in knime I got automatically the location of R (/library/frameworks/r.framework/versions/3.3./resources/. Then it asked me to install the Cairo package, which I did. Finally it asked me to install Quartz, which I also did.

Now when running the R learner or any R node I get the following error: ERROR:Transfering the R script to R failed. ERROR: R evaluation failed: assign failed

Any suggestion or step by step guide into how to make the R nodes work on a mac?

What do you mean with this:

the home to R path in knime I got automatically the location of R 

What is the R path at the moment? If you create a completely new R Source node, is that execuable, or does the error already appear with that?
