Relative path to absolute path

Hi Team,

How can we convert relative path to absolute path?

The scenario is: Download a file using SMB connector, File Reader and CSV Writer node and download it from the web portal using File Download Widget.

The problem is that when a file is downloaded using relative paths or KNIME Mountpoint Connector node (mounting knime-temp-space), the path provided is not converted to absolute path when using Path to String node.

Note: Using AP v4.5 and server v4.14.

this trick should work for you.

Insert leftmost local path with double “\” as separator.

Save relative path into a variable as shown.
