Hi all,
We see an issue with running this PDF report writer on the hub in this test setting. The following error is the result running the flow:
This is the flow (just some test data in a simple component with a text and table view). Running the flow from the AP results in de pdf.
Also checked with temp dir, the path format seems fine to.
Any ideas?
Hi Jasper,
It is difficult to know precisely what has gone wrong here. Would you please open up the Report PDF Writer and show a screenshot of how that node is configured?
Also, if the job still exists (or if it doesn’t you can run it again) please download the logs and upload them.
If that is all correct, then it might depend on where you are writing to. If it is a directory within the KNIME Business Hub, then it is certainly something to do with the flow variables, so please show what flow variables come out of the component. If you are writing to somewhere else, then you will want to make sure that your user credentials allow you access to that other location, or if you are using a secret that it is being “consumed” correctly.
Hi Lisa,
Thank you for your reply; see the logs in the attachment.

Below the config of the node
There are no flow variables passed through to the report, this is the most basic form of report creation to try to validate why the node doesn’t work on the hub.
Might it be related to hub versioning? If so, I’ll open a ticket with the support team.
Hi Jasper, my apologies about the delay in my response. I don’t believe it is related to the version of hub, however I don’t have a good feel for the cause.
The knime path intrigues me. Do you have that file system configured on the Hub? Does your workflow complete if you specify, say, Relative to
and Current workflow
, like this?
I’m afraid that if you still need assistance on this, you will need to submit a support ticket. For future readers, this article will help you get the fastest response and minimize the number of information exchanges on the way to resolution.
