Row Splitter / Filter: Path Type not supported

Hi,

the path type, introduced quite some time ago, is still not well supported. Not even the reworked row splitter and filter nodes, the later recently received quite some extensive negative feedback, do so:

Hello @mwiegand,

Thank you for your feedback. We have a ticket(AP-23079) for this issue, and currently the team is working on below:

  • The Row Filter will be enhanced to offer all input columns in the dropdown.
  • Filter operators for any column data type will at least include “IS MISSING” and “IS NOT MISSING.”

You are most welcome. One thing which might get overlooked very easily … the column type non native. Maybe not really something to add to the row filter node but more about the ability to convert non native back or at least to a string. Though, I want to ensure this is on your radar.

Hi @mwiegand,

You can use the Column Auto Typecast node, which may automatically convert non-native columns to a more usable format, such as String.
