Seeking Guidance on Updating Linked Pivot Tables and Charts in Excel Using Data from Oracle Database.

Hello! I’m looking to extract data from an Oracle database and create a data output. Currently, I’m using Excel Writer to update my data to multiple tables within an existing Excel file. I need to use this data to a specific tab within the Excel file. After that, I want to use the data to update linked pivot tables, along with slicer dashboards and charts within the same Excel table. Can anyone guide me on how to accomplish this?

Hi @Filmony,

and welcome to the Knime community. I have read through your request a few times but not quite get what you actually want to accomplish. You wrote:

So you mean that the first goal to accomplish is to connect to an Oracle DB? The rough process I understood shall look like this … correct me if that is wrong:

  1. Read from Oracle DB
  2. Process in Knime
  3. Update tabs in one / more Excel file(s)
  4. Post-Processing in Excel using pivot tables which generate slicer dashboards

About connecting to the Oracle DB, this article might be of help for you:
