Showing recordcount per node(output)

I would love to see an option where you can see the # of records that are in the output of a node directly on the canvas.
This would escpecially be usefull with the Join Node, for example, as you would be able to, at one glance and without going into the Node Monitor, see the result of the join. If there are (and how many) left or right orphans and or if there is multiplication going on.
If you have big projects and you have to be in control of the # of records this option would allow you to scan a large canvas (while it is running) and spot abbarations quickly. It will help to build quickly and still be in control of the quality of the analysis.
I find I am more in control of my data when I can see the # of records without going into the Node Monitor or waiting for the end-result. Especially when running and re-running after some changes are made to nodes.

Thx.

This is a GREAT idea, which some of KNIME’s competitors already have:
Now, the user must open the Node Monitor in order to see the number of records. With Jasper’s idea, the user can see ALL record counts for ALL nodes at a single glance, which is fantastic, for example if you’d want to signal (un)wanted behavior in JOINs (unexpected carthesian products).

Hi @Jasper_vB

Welcome to KNIME Forum.

For this you can use:

Thanks, this could help in some cases! But it is not the solution I’m after. Imagine having to add this node in a canvas of several thousand steps…
