The Lead Column Component

Hi everyone,

I’m excited to introduce the Lead Column component, which performs the reverse task of the Lag Column node. While the Lag Column node generates a lag of a column, the Lead Column component generates a lead, meaning a forward shift in the time series. It shares the same configurations as the Lag Column node.

This component was developed to address the need for creating leads, which can be particularly useful in multistep time series problems.

I encourage you to try out the Lead Column component and share any feedback or improvements you think are relevant. Additionally, if you are aware of any existing components or nodes that already perform this task, please let me know, as I couldn’t find any information about it in the Hub or Forum.

Best regards,

Carlos

Kudos to you but life would a lot easier if you had saved the workflow as component. I’m struggling with how to input to what you uploaded.

Hi rfeigel,

Thank you for your interest! To configure the component, please ensure that the input port is connected to the output of another node/component/metanode. The Lead Column component works similarly to the Lag Column node, so no additional configuration inside the component is required. Simply double-click on the component to access its configuration window. Here is an example for your reference.

Cheers,

Carlos

I still don’t understand why you didn’t provide a completed component like in the example you just uploaded.

I’m not sure why you didn’t see the complete component in my first post, but if you check again, you will see the following when you open the link

It downloads as a .knar file and installs as an opened component. Maybe save as a .knwf file?

Oh, now I see. You are downloading the component… That’s not the way I use to do with the components or workflows in the Hub. I do this by hovering over the component icon in the Hub and clicking and holding it to drag and drop on the workflow canvas. Can you try this way and tell me what happens. Best.

Drag and drop works, but in other instances download has always worked.
