Unable to install missing nodes (Google nodes)

Not sure if this is correlated or causal, but my workflow that contains google extensions was working just fine for months. I recently installed the latest 5.3 version (was on the original 5.3 version). Now, all of the google nodes are ‘missing’, would I like to search and update. When I say ‘yes’, the wizard pop ups, I click on ‘next’ and nothing happens. If I close out the the wizard then try to ‘drag and drop’ the node onto the workflow, samet thing happens and says it’s already installed.

I have the workflow open when I close KNIME, so when I first open KNIME, this is the message I receive:

.

I hit yes, KNIME opens with the active workflow to this wizard (note the missing nodes):

i clicked next, and absolutely nothing happens, the same wizard is there, “finish” remains greyed out:

I tried drag and drop of the node from hub.knime.com, and it asks the same question (not installed, would I like to search for it):

I’ve sent this to support 24 hours ago and haven’t received any input - I haven’t been able to perform my reporting, anyone else having this issue? I’m kind of dead in the water. I’ve tried several times, rebooting computer, etc., to no avail.

I reverted to the classic interface to see the console and the following error messages are appearing:

In the classic view, I tried to install the google connectors, but it’s telling me that they are already installed:

In classic view, when I filter nodes to google - the connectors aren’t there:

(google authenticator, google drive, sheets reader, etc.).

UPDATE
I downgraded to 5.2.5 (previous version) and when I launched the workflows, mentioned that this version can’t use workflows from newer versions, load anyway? said yes. Then it couldn’t find the same nodes, should I search for them and install? I said yes, and now, the google nodes are present:

But unfortunately, there are nodes from the new 5.3 version that are missing, so will update back to 5.3 and see if that works.

Opened 5.3 again, and the Google nodes are listed as not there and still getting same error. Have to use 5.2.5 to get reporting done, but wondering if others have this issue and if there is a resolution?

Hello @ebarr,

KNIME has a new release of 5.3.1 out now, can you try updating to that. The issue has already been raised with internal team. When I have an update, I will write to you directly.

Thank you

Best,
Ali

UPDATE

I’d recommend reinstalling, since this can be the case that the installation now has gone faulty and plugin dependency might be an issue. Once reinstalled, upon installing the extension, if you are prompt with an error similar to, “unable to install to a directory”, then running KNIME as admin and then installing the extension might do work.

Thank you - I’ve deleted and reinstalled the 5.3.1 and the connectors are now there.
