Hey,
this bug is new. I have recently updated and since then restarted a few times. Nevertheless, Knime displays the banner to update to 5.3 which it already is.

@mwiegand have you adapted the update sites and removed the 5.2 ones?

Has been noticed before, updates sites indeed needs to be amended.

The update banner seems to have disappeared after all extensions got updated but it banner made the impression it was about Knime itself.
Though, initialization of the node repository now takes ages to complete. I will submit another topic regarding the initialization regression.
