value filter quickform node error: key "type" not found

I am trying to use the value filter quickform node and I get an error message: "failed to apply settings: ConfigBase for key "type" not found." It also says "The column ' ' was not found" when there are no empty columns. Has anyone gotten this message and/or know what "type" means. I've used the node in other workflows without this error message.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

this is difficult to answer without seeing the worklow:

Could you try to use a Domain Calculator right in front of the Value Filter node?
