Yesterday I checked the impact of the KNIME 5.5 update and noticed that the Integrated Deployment extension has to be downloaded via KNIME Hub?
Why?

What do you mean by that exactly? To my knowledge the “Integrated Deployment” extension always had to be installed separately (not part of the initial installation), and it was and still is available from the official KNIME update site (https://update.knime.com/analytics-platform/5.5 for AP 5.5). KNIME Hub should not be involved at all.

When I pushed the 5.5 update button in KNIME 5.4, KNIME displayed a window with an impact analysis (before asking me to pursue with the update, which I then refused), in which it said that the Integrated Deployment package cannot be updated. Thereupon, I have checked the KNIME documentation on the website, on which Integrated Deployment is mentioned as available on KNIME hub.
Given your confirmation that Integrated Deployment continues to be available on the official KNIME update site, it would appear that this may be a misunderstanding on my side. Nevertheless, the impact analysis is intriguing. Since the first production version of the Integrated Deployment nodes, I can’t remember to have ever run into an extension update issue.
