I am new to using KNIME and have opted to keep my workspace on a network drive for back up capability.
I notice that for some of my more basic workflows, when I save it takes almost a full minute or two. is this normal?
Is there anything I can do in the settings to improve performance/save time latency?

              Hi @aehrenworth ,
using a network driver is strongly discouraged as the latency, compared to local drives, is substantially slower … except if you are connected with an optic fiber to the server rack

Yes, I moved it back to a local drive and it is working fine. Thanks!

Glad it got resolved. Just out of curiosity, why did you wanted to save your workspace on a network drive?

New to using the tool… used Alteryx for a very very long time and typically used our file server to make sure we had backups everything.
For whatever reason performance was much slower doing it with KNIME.
I realized I can sync to the cloud and also use OneDrive and that would help with backup purposes.

@aehrenworth if you are using one drive make sure to take these possible limitations into account
