How to read Binary Excel file in KNIME. I tried with python script and Tika parser, It failed to happen. And also not supporting the file writer.

Hi @Bijal,

the upcoming release of KNIME Analytics Platform 4.4 will support reading xlsb files with the Excel Reader. Until then, you have to go with alternative solutions, see the response of @takbb.

Hi @SimonS , I’ve finally installed KNIME 4.4 alongside my 4.3 install, to give this a try and sure enough the Excel Reader can read an xlsb file as promised, which is great. :slight_smile:

Are there any plans to also bring xlsb support to the Read Excel Sheet Names node?

Thanks Ivan. My fallback at the moment I think will be a python script to read the sheet names, but still good news about the Reader. :slightly_smiling_face:
