Feature request: Proper progress updates for loop nodes

Is there any chance of getting a proper progress bar when using the loop nodes (especially the "Chunk Loop Start")? I'm currently checking the flow variables during long executions, but having the current progress within the workflow below the node would make things much more convenient.

Regards,
Philipp

Good evening,

while writing on a blog post I happen to have found this feature request. You might want to leverage the example workflow I created to track loop execution in detail.

https://atmedia-marketing.com/en/knime/knime-loop-debugging-and-progress-tracking/

PS: There is also another similar feature request. You might draw some ideas from that and my example so we can consolidate all and draw attention of the developers to this request

Hi @mwiegand

Did you check the Node Annotator nodes? I used them to create a component to track the loop progress as wel.

HI Hans,

thanks for the addition. What these nodes I believe miss is the persistence of a real log. Upon re-execution the node annotation gets updated. It also removes the original annotation which I regularly use for documentation purposes.
