Install on Linux Mint no access to file system

I installed on Linux Mint and set the workspace up under my home folder. I also have an apps folder under the home folder wher I have the executable. I have csv files in the workspace folder. Knime launhes fine but when I add a file reader or a CSV reader config is not available to allow me to set the path to the file, Right click and config do nothing F6 does nothing. What am I missing?

I downloaded a previos version; 5.4.4 and it works. I tried turning off Modern UI in 5.5 and this did not make a difference, I was unable to configure the node.

I know nothing about Linux, but I assume that the UI works basically the same as for Windows. If you’re using KAP 5.5, see if this helps.

Dear Community please help I am having serious issues using KNIME since i upgraded it to the newer version. I have rebooted my machine at least 3/4 times. I cannot use my old work.
