KNIME Explorer: Increase Icon Visibility of Workflow Status

Hi,

in the knime explorer the icons indicate whenever a workflow is open or in an unsaved state and maybe if it also failed:

I’d like to suggest to increase the visibility by coloring the knime icon accordingly instead of adding an itsy bitsy tiny sub-icon of 5px or so in size.

Note. This partially resonates with a feature request from @mlauber71:

Hello Mike,

Thank you for your feature request. Do I understand your function request correctly that it refers to the classic user interface?

Hi @lgknime,

primarily the Classic UI and since you mentioned it I took the chance to look at the Modern UI. It is actually worse. Whilst the icons are larger the gray mushiness (no SVG icons seem to be used), provides poor contrast (gray on gray) and is totally void of colors like in this example. Do you spot the opened workflow?

Apologize for the harsh tone but it has been complained by many community members from the very start of the Modern UI that it is in many basic aspects inferior and little to nothing seem to have improved since the start. It really just feels disappointing.

Hey Mike,

thank you for the quick response and for checking. I hear your frustration and hope we will find a solution for that.
There will be no future adjustments of the Classic UI. Regarding the modern UI I think it’s best to merge your post with the related post of @mlauber71 .

your are most welcome and thanks for taking notice  I’d be more than happy with your suggestion of merging the tickets.
