KNIME not working on Fedora 29

Hey all, I just tried installing the current version of KNIME (3.7.2) on a Fedora 29 operating system (Gnome 3 as frontend). Unfortunately, I’m encountering several severe graphics issues, e.g. when I insert a node and open its configuration dialogue, it just shows me an empty window with no options, which makes it impossible to properly use it (screenshot attached).

I already added “-Dorg.eclipse.swt.internal.gtk.disablePrinting” to the knime.ini file, but without success. Does anyone have an idea what might help?

Best,
Julian

This is being discussed here Knime Config Dialogs/Popups Blank and here Database Node Connector Error in Ubuntu but there is no progress yet on determining a cause.
