Pass-Through Node discontinued?

Hi,

Quick question, was the Pass-Through Node discontinued? I cannot find it among the base nodes nor in the repo and drag & drop fromthe Hub doesn’t work either.

Hi @mwiegand the “pass-through” above is a component rather than a node (still on the hub), but generally these days I use the “NoOp” nodes (real nodes! ), which are available by update provided you have NodePit configured

Dump question, even though I knew this is a component, any idea why drag & drop didn’t work?

Which version of KNIME? If drag & drop is generally working, then no I don’t know why it would not work that one time. But if it isn’t working at all, then the only time I’ve come across that is if KNIME has been installed to run as administrator:

Hi @mohammad_alqoqa , the only issue I’m aware of that blocks drag and drop from working is when running KNIME as an elevated (admin) user. There isn’t a setting that turns drag and drop on and off. Can you confirm your KNIME is definitely not running elevated? Are you on Windows? If so, when you followed the steps to see if it was running elevated, what did you see? Can you post a screenshot? For example, see screenshots of task manager here:

All good, NordVPN is runnign in the background and even though I whitelisted the app and the domain, some requests still getting blocked. Fully disabling the VPN resolved the drag & drop issue.

Glad to hear it was that simple. Will commit that one to memory for a future possibility! Enjoy the NoOps nodes; I can’t live without them these days…
