PBI Datamart SQL Endpoint Connection

Has anyone in the community been able to successfully connect to a Power BI Datamart using KNIME’s built in SQL Server Connector node?

Not yet. What is the issue?
Can you connect with other tools?

Creating a connection using Microsoft Authentication and Microsoft SQL Server Connector nodes throws the below:

Error: “null. Verify the connection properties. Make sure that an instance of SQL Server is running on the host and accepting TCP/IP connections at the port. Make sure that TCP connections to the port are not blocked by a firewall.”

Firewall has been tested and found not to impact the connection. The same port is used for a more traditional Azure SQL Server with no problems maintaining a secure connection.

Other tools including Excel and Azure Data Studio have been used to successfully connect to the SQL endpoint generated by the Power BI Datamart.

May have finally found a storage system that KNIME cannot connect with :frowning:

Has KNIME been used to connect to the more traditional AZURE SQL?
br

Yes we have previously used KNIME to connect to the more traditional Azure SQL Server with no problems. Reason for wanting to use Power BI Datamart includes the enhanced security, increased performance/reliability amongst other positives.

Hi,
To connect to Power BI Datamart the following can be used. Only thing to still figure out is how to configure an Azure AD registered app to have access to the Ppower BI DataMart.
