The new String Manipulation Node looks like it will be very useful for me.
Unfortunately, after configuring the node with an expression and closing the dialog I get the error "java.lang.IllegalStateException: cannot locate necessary libraries". I am using Win7 and I tried with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of knime 2.5.2. Any help appreciated.
Hi,
I agree this looks like a really useful node.
Unfortunately I get the same error messages of not locating libraries.
I am using Windows Vista 32bit, KNIME 2.5.
Simon.

Could you send the full stacktrace that is written in knime.log? The IllegalStateException should have a cause that tells more about the problem.

Here's the log file... There's not much of a stack trace.

It looks like spaces in the KNIME installation path cause the problem. Can you confirm this?
This will be a fabulous node - has a whole lot of things I have struggled to create Java snippets for!!
Alas, I too am getting the error message. Please let us know how to solve this.

As I've written, for now you need to install KNIME in a path without spaces (i.e. "C:\Program Files\knime_2.5.0" or similar will not work).
Ok - Yes, I can confirm that this solution works. Thanks SOOO much for this new node !!!
