Hello everyone,
After upgrading to version 5.1, the file name on OneDriver does not have “_” and contains Spaces, it cannot be identified, showing that it does not exist, but version 4.7 can be identified, what is the reason and how to solve this?
Thank you in advance.
Hey @Banksy,
we’ve already found out the cause of this issue (see thread) and it was already take care of it. Unfortunately I do not have a fix or workaround now, besides getting rid of the spaces (which is not ideal) or just using a KNIME Version < 5.1. We have to apologies for the caused inconveniences.
Best regards
Lars
@Banksy I just read it again could you clarify what you mean by “does not have “_” and contains spaces…”?
@laaaarsi I am so sorry. I speak English not good. I mean the file name uses Spaces instead of “_”. Do you got it ?
Okay now I got it. Thanks for clarification As already mentioned in my post above the issue is known and currently we do not have a workaround besides the mentioned options.
Best regards
Lars
I’m suffering from this currently, my thread is here: Excel Reader via Sharepoint Connector Broken following 5.1.0 Update - KNIME Extensions - KNIME Community Forum
This is a fairly serious bug. I am royally annoyed having upgraded to 5.1, found this bug that has wreaked havoc on my workflows and found the new visual interface pretty rubbish anyway (I have switched back to Classic)
My workaround is to remove all instances of the Sharepoint connector and write to a locally-sync’d version of the Sharepoint as if it were a folder, and then let the Sharepoint service in Windows upload the changes to the cloud (rather than the proper way, writing to the cloud and sync’ing the changes down to local level).
Hey @Richard_TG
as said, we apologies for the caused inconveniences! The problem is rooted by a code change on the side of the library from Microsoft we use. We already have a fix in place on our side which will released with the next bug-fix release. Thank you very much for the provided feedback as well as a possible workaround for the time being.
Best regards
Lars
Hello, @laaaarsi,
is there any update concerning this issue?
If not, can I get a 4.7ver installer to use it temporarily instead of 5.1ver?
I use sharepoint in all workflows, so this issue is really critical for my work…
The 5.1.1 release is in the making, but I can’t give you an exact date for it. You can download previous versions here
@laaaarsi , thanks for your quick response!
but I encountered error regarding Sharepoint connector in ver 4.7 as well.
is there any other way to proceed with this workflow…?
@laaaarsi , it’s not easy…
I installed the extention in ver 4.7.2 and restarted KNIME, but it’s not opened with the error message
I attached log file…
1693226324916.log (4.4 KB)
Could you try that?
Thank you so much. It was solved after trying that. Have a good day!
